About the role
Elcon Cables is seeking a dynamic and motivated Internal Sales Person to join our sales team in Underwood, QLD. This is a full-time onsite position that offers an exciting opportunity to drive sales through customer engagement, product knowledge, and relationship building. As an Internal Sales Person, you will play a vital role in supporting our customers, processing orders, managing enquiries, and contributing to the achievement of our sales targets. This role is essential to maintaining strong customer relationships and ensuring exceptional service delivery across all customer touchpoints.

What you'll be doing

1. Managing customer enquiries via phone, email, and digital channels, providing expert product knowledge and tailored solutions

2. Processing customer orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring correct documentation and timely delivery

3. Building and maintaining strong relationships with existing customers to encourage repeat business and loyalty

4. Identifying sales opportunities and cross-selling or upselling relevant products to meet customer needs

5. Preparing and presenting quotations and proposals to customers

6. Coordinating with warehouse and logistics teams to ensure smooth order fulfilment and customer satisfaction

7. Maintaining accurate sales records and customer information in our CRM system

8. Supporting the external sales team with administrative tasks and customer follow-up activities

9. Resolving customer complaints and issues professionally and promptly

10. Contributing to team targets and actively participating in sales initiatives

What we're looking for

1. Proven experience in an internal sales, customer service, or sales support role within a B2B environment

2. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to build connection with customers

3. Proficiency in using CRM systems and Microsoft Office applications. Experience in Dynamics 365 Business Central desirable but not essential.

4. Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise multiple tasks

5. A customer-focused mindset with a commitment to delivering outstanding service

6. Strong numeracy skills and the ability to work with accuracy and attention to detail

7. Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team

8. Knowledge of the electrical or cable industry is highly desirable, though not essential for the right candidate

9. A proactive approach to problem-solving and a willingness to take on additional responsibilities

10. Relevant qualifications or certifications in sales or customer service are advantageous
