INTERMEDIATE TAX & BUSINESS SERVICES ACCOUNTANT – SOUTHPORT/GOLD COAST – ESTABLISHED PUBLIC PRACTICE FIRM – $80K–$95K (JOB ID 737)

Our client is a well-established Southport-based accounting firm with experienced leadership and a broad client portfolio spanning healthcare, retail, property and international business structures. The firm is focused on delivering practical, high-quality tax and business services while maintaining a collaborative, development-focused environment for its team. 

The Role: 

• Prepare financial statements, tax returns, BAS and IAS across a range of SME clients 

• Support tax compliance and basic tax planning activities 

• Manage and service a diverse client portfolio under supervision and guidance 

• Liaise with internal team members (including offshore support where applicable) to ensure workflow efficiency 

• Assist with review processes and ensure accuracy and compliance across all lodgements 

• Contribute to improving processes and maintaining high service standards 

• Build and maintain strong client relationships over time 

About You: 

• 2+ years’ Australian public practice experience 

• Degree qualified in Accounting or related field 

• CA/CPA studies commenced or in progress (preferred) 

• Strong understanding of SME tax compliance and accounting principles 

• Experience with accounting software such as Xero, MYOB or similar 

• Strong communication skills and ability to manage competing deadlines 

• Detail-focused with a proactive and professional approach
