INTERMEDIATE ACCOUNTANT – NORTH GOLD COAST – PUBLIC PRACTICE FIRM – CAREER DEVELOPMENT FOCUS (JOB ID 1763)

Our client is an established Gold Coast accounting firm providing business services and taxation support to a range of small to medium-sized business clients and individuals. The firm delivers services across tax compliance, financial reporting, bookkeeping and general business advisory, supported by a team-based approach and structured internal processes. 

The Role: 

• Prepare financial statements for companies, trusts, individuals and partnerships 

• Prepare income tax returns and assist with compliance obligations 

• Assist with BAS, IAS and general accounting work 

• Maintain accurate accounting records and supporting workpapers 

• Respond to client queries in a professional and timely manner 

• Assist senior staff with technical and advisory-related tasks 

• Support management reporting and general business services work 

• Ensure compliance with relevant Australian taxation and accounting standards 

About You: 

• 2–4 years’ experience in Australian public practice or business services 

• Accounting or Commerce qualification 

• CA or CPA studies commenced or enrolled  

• Understanding of basic Australian tax and compliance requirements 

• Experience with accounting software such as Xero, MYOB or similar 

• Strong attention to detail and time management skills 

• Clear communication skills and a willingness to learn 

• Professional and team-oriented approach
