About FIIG Securities

As a member of the Private Client Solutions (PCS) team within the Fixed Income Division, the Junior Associate supports a team of high performing Relationship Managers in providing an exceptional level of service to private client investors who value FIIG’s trading, facilitation, research and custody services in order to own a portfolio of OTC and ASX listed bonds.
 
What will you be doing  
 
This role is based in Melbourne and will have accountability for:

• Proficiently utilise FIIG’s systems including client relationship management software (CRM) and the lead management tool (LMT)
• Use FIIG tools to input trades for Relationship Managers and to help construct & manage bond portfolio proposals for existing and prospective clients
• Support the PCS team in generating sensible trade ideas and creating sales investor communication for clients to consider trades that improve their portfolio from a risk- adjusted return perspective
• Assist with administrative queries related to clients settling trades, using our online investment portal (MyFIIG), and accessing + interpreting trade contract notes, monthly statements and portfolio performance reports
• Actively engage with prospective clients through outbound calls and lead generation activities, building relationships and identifying new business opportunities
• Attend and contribute to regular sales and client meetings

We’d love to hear from passionate people who have: 

• Degree in Finance or other relevant tertiary qualification (or nearing completion)
• Driven and motivated to forge a career in financial markets, specifically sell-side sales and trading
• Demonstrate a high level of written and verbal communication skills
• Proficient at MS Office (specifically Excel)
• Intention to complete RG146 AFMA accreditation
• Ability to engage and interact with clients and key stakeholders at all levels
• Exhibit initiative, independence and advanced problem-solving skills
• A team player who enjoys interacting with both colleagues and clients. 

Career Development opportunity
 
Ultimately the Junior Associate will develop an expert level of understanding of credit markets together with an understanding of macroeconomics with a view apply this to fixed income (bonds / securities) products available by FIIG to its clients.
