CNC Operator

Our client

We have partnered with a well-known manufacturing company that specializes in the manufacturing of sheet metal products specifically for HVAC systems. They are known for their professionalism & high-quality work who services commercial and industrial markets.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in duct and sheet metal fabrication with a high level commitment to health and safety.

Due to growth, they require CNC Operators to join the afternoon team for an immediate start.

Key Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate CNC laser cutting machines for cutting, drilling and shaping metal components.
• Interpret technical drawings and work orders to determine machine settings and specifications.
• Ensure machines are calibrated and adjusted correctly for accurate cuts and shapes.
• Own personal protective equipment (PPE)
• Follow all OHS policies and procedures

Requirements:

Ability to work collaboratively and prioritise safety

• Experience in HVAC/duct system manufacturing highly regarded
• Fabrication skills such as welding and operating manual machines highly valued
• Problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude.
• You will demonstrate high level communication, organisation, planning and reporting skills, and the ability to integrate into a team environment

Compensation:

• Salary: $85,000 - $90,000 per year
• Career progression with employee mentoring program
• Penalty rates apply for overtime

Experience:

• Minimum of 3 years experience in CNC Operation
• Extensive knowledge and experience in HVAC ducting fabrication

Preferred Qualifications

• Minimum Cert 3 in sheet metal fabrication/CNC or related field
• Must have experience operating CNC machines
• Experience in sheet metal equipment
• Drivers License (Required)
