Student Programs Officer – Student Experience Team, UNE Life

About the role

Are you organised, detail-oriented, and passionate about supporting student communities? We’re looking for a Student Programs Officer to join our Student Experience team at UNE Life.  As a key support for UNE Life’s student programs and activations, you’ll be the backbone of our thriving clubs ecosystem.  You’ll provide comprehensive guidance to student club leaders on governance, event planning, risk management, and financial procedures, helping them run amazing activities that build a connected university community.  From coordinating funding and managing TidyHQ training to helping plan events like Lifesaver Day and inter-club collaborations, you’ll make a real difference in student life at UNE.

You’ll be responsible for:

• Guide student leaders on club governance, event planning, risk management, and compliance
• Deliver training programs that empower club leadership and promote best practices
• Manage club funding applications, monitor expenditure, and ensure proper financial documentation
• Maintain accurate records of registered clubs and their activities
• Work on student engagement events and activations, both on campus and online
• Support diverse and inclusive club activities that strengthen our university community

About you

You’ll have:

• Experience coordinating and facilitating events and activities
• Great interpersonal and communication skills with diverse stakeholders
• Strong organisational and administrative skills with excellent problem-solving abilities
• Experience with club management systems
• A commitment to creating a safe, inclusive, and positive workplace

About the Student Experience team

The Student Experience team at UNE Life is dedicated to fostering connection, engagement, and vibrant campus culture. We manage Clubs & Societies, TuneFM, Digital HQ, Advocacy & Welfare Services, and student events and activations from orientation to graduation. We’re student-centric, values-aligned, and passionate about what we do.
