About the role

Ibis Styles Canberra, Narrabundah is looking for a friendly, professional and customer-focused Casual Guest Service Agent (GSA) to join our Front Office team. As the first point of contact for our guests, you will play an important role in creating a welcoming experience from check-in through to departure.

Key responsibilities

• Welcome guests and provide friendly and professional service

• Complete check-in and check-out procedures efficiently

• Handle guest enquiries, requests and complaints in a professional manner

• Manage reservations, room allocations and guest accounts

• Process payments and maintain accurate records

• Provide information about hotel facilities and local attractions

• Communicate effectively with Housekeeping and other hotel departments

• Assist with maintaining a smooth and efficient Front Office operation

• Ensure all guests receive a positive and memorable experience

About you

• Has previous hotel Front Office or Guest Service experience

• Has excellent communication and customer service skills

• Is well presented, reliable and professional

• Can work effectively both independently and as part of a team

• Has a positive attitude and strong attention to detail

• Is confident handling guest enquiries and resolving issues

• Is flexible and available to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and public holidays
