HoMie is a Melbourne-based streetwear label and Social Enterprise. 100% of our profits go towards achieving our mission: To support young people affected by homelessness or hardship to gain the skills, confidence and experience to be more work-ready and better prepared for their future.
We believe in fashion as a force for good, and our streetwear label does just that. We have become one of Melbourne’s most well-known and loved retail brands, with our business experiencing significant growth. We currently operate two bricks and mortar stores in Victoria, a growing online store, and deliver three social impact programs annually.
Over 11 years, HoMie has supported over 5000 young people through our sector-leading programs. We have a strong organisation wide commitment to creating positive outcomes for young people and meaningful, long lasting change.
We’re on the hunt for an Operations Manager to take ownership of the systems, stock and processes that keep HoMie’s retail stores moving.
Sitting at the centre of our retail operations, you’ll oversee the full stock lifecycle – from purchase orders and inbound deliveries through to warehousing, 3PL fulfilment, store transfers, stock reconciliation and returns. You’ll be the key relationship holder for our 3PL and freight partners, while making sure our inventory systems are accurate, our processes are clear and our teams have the information they need.
This is a hands-on role, but it’s also about making things better. You’ll build and document processes, improve how our systems work together and help create greater visibility and accountability across our operations. You’ll work closely with our Product, Retail, eCommerce, Finance and Programs teams, providing stock and operational insights that inform everything from range planning to customer experience.
And HoMie’s mission drives everything we do, this operations role will directly enable our impact. You’ll help coordinate stock and logistics for initiatives including VIP Days, Pathway Alliance and REBORN, making sure our commercial operations and social impact programs work seamlessly together.
You’re an operations brain through and through. You like knowing where things are, why the numbers don’t match and how a process could work better next time.
You’re comfortable getting into the detail – investigating a stock discrepancy, raising a PO, coordinating an inbound delivery or sorting out a fulfilment issue – but you can also step back and see where a system or process needs to change.
You’re highly organised, systems-minded and naturally document how things work rather than keeping important knowledge in your head. You communicate clearlyand confidently with different stakeholders and are comfortable being the person who connects the dots between internal teams and external partners.
Experience in fashion, apparel or retail would be a big advantage, as would experience managing a 3PL relationship. Importantly, you’re excited by the opportunity to bring strong operational thinking to a business where commercial success directly supports social impact.
We’re actively working towards a fairer society and we know the diversity of thought, identity and lived experience on our team is essential to helping us achieve this. We encourage Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander People, members of the LGBTQIA+ Community, people living with a disability and applicants from all cultural backgrounds to apply. We also welcome applications from people with lived experience of homelessness.
We are committed to creating an inclusive recruitment experience and welcome requests for adjustments to support candidates with accessibility requirements at any stage of the process.
The HoMie Emporium Store and HoMie Office are wheelchair accessible.
We are hoping the successful candidate can join the team in September, 2026,but we can be flexible for the right candidate. Applications will be considered as they are received so if this role appeals to you, we encourage you to apply as soon as possible.
