Receptionist

About the role

This is a varied, customer-focused position supporting our Sales, Service, Parts and Administration departments. You will be responsible for managing our reception area, directing customer enquiries and helping the dealership operate smoothly.

As the first point of contact, you will play an important role in creating a warm and positive experience for every customer who visits or contacts our business.

Key responsibilities

• Welcoming customers and directing them to the appropriate department

• Answering and transferring incoming telephone calls professionally

• Managing general customer enquiries

• Maintaining a clean, organised and welcoming reception area

• Assisting with customer refreshments and hospitality

• Receiving and distributing mail, deliveries and correspondence

• Providing general administrative support across the dealership

• Assisting with data entry, filing and document preparation

• Supporting dealership events and customer functions when required

• Working closely with the Sales, Service, Parts and Administration teams

About you

• Friendly, approachable and confident when dealing with customers

• Well presented, professional and reliable

• An excellent verbal and written communicator

• Highly organised, with strong attention to detail

• Comfortable managing multiple tasks in a busy environment

• Confident using computers, email and Microsoft Office programs

• Able to work independently while also contributing to the wider team

• Committed to providing outstanding customer service

• Previous reception, administration, hospitality or customer-service experience would be highly regarded

• Experience within an automotive dealership is an advantage but is not essential, as training will be provided
