About the role

OZ NAPOLI ITALIAN RESTAURANT is an established restaurant located in Ettalong Beach, NSW, offering a unique flavour of Italian cuisine. We are seeking a qualified and experienced Chef to join our kitchen team on a full-time basis. This role is critical to supporting our kitchen operations, maintaining food quality standards, and contributing to menu development and customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Planning and developing menus aligned with Italian cuisine
• Preparing, cooking, and presenting high-quality dishes with consistency and creativity
• Supervising kitchen staff including cooks and kitchen hands to ensure efficient operations
• Managing food preparation processes, portion control, and presentation standards
• Monitoring and maintaining stock levels, ordering supplies, and controlling kitchen costs
• Ensuring strict compliance with food safety, hygiene, and WHS regulations
• Training and mentoring junior kitchen staff
• Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organisation in the kitchen

About you

• Minimum Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery and Diploma of Hospitality Management
• At least around 2 years of experience as an independent Chef
• Strong leadership, organisational, and time management skills
