Experienced Residential Draftsperson / Designer - Sovereign Homes Qld Pty Ltd

About the Role:

As a key member of our design team, you will:

• Produce concept drawings and diagrams, developing them into comprehensive construction drawing sets.

• Prepare working drawings, engineering plans, technical illustrations, interiors/ joinery, plumbing and electrical diagrams.

• Interpret client requirements and prepare technical specifications with associated documentation.

• Generate accurate 2D and 3D models as required.

• Ensure completeness and accuracy of all drawings and documents in accordance with local council requirements, relevant codes and standards.

• Collaborate with our estimating team to support project costing and feasibility.

• Assist with the Interior Design component of the project and offer suggestions on finishes and fixtures accordingly, experience with interior design would be an advantage.

What We’re Looking For:

• Proven experience in drafting within residential building arena – custom homes and renovations preferred.

• Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD and Revit), with 3D modelling capabilities.

• Strong understanding of construction methods, detailing, Australian Building Codes, and council legislation.

• Excellent attention to detail and communication skills.

• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a collaborative environment.
