The Company

Micro Money Pty Ltd trading as IMoney Financial Consulting is a fast-growing professional services firm that provides financial reporting, taxation and business advisory consultancy, funds investment services.

The Role

• An opportunity has become available for an experienced accountant to join us. The role will report to the Financial & Accounting Manager.

Key Responsibilities

• The core responsibilities will include but is not limited to the following:
• Preparing financial statements and tax returns for individuals, companies, partnerships, trusts & SMSF’s;
• Introducing and maintaining accounting systems, and advising on the selection and application of computer-based accounting systems;
• Liaising with various statutory authorities on behalf of clients including ATO and ASIC;
• Conducting tax planning research and analysis of tax obligations;
• Working with complex clients within an advisory space, including providing financial and taxation advice on business structures, plans and operations;
• Maintaining accounting controls by preparing and recommending policies and procedures;
• Reconciling financial discrepancies by collecting and analysing account information.
• Communicating with clients and maintaining customer confidence and protect operations by keeping financial information confidential;
• Reviewing and examining various clients’ income and expenditure;
• Preparing supporting documentation for external auditors;
• Proficiency in using accounting software to preparing financial documents;
• Maintaining professional and technical knowledge by reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.

Skill & Experience

Essential Criteria

• The successful applicant will ideally possess the following:
• Tertiary education qualifications in accounting area
• Understanding of accounting principles desirable
• At least 2 years closely related work experience
• Previous minimum two years of experience performing the above listed tasks
• Intermediate MS Excel skills
• Ability to meet deadline
• Good communication skills and excellent phone manner
• Work eligibility in Australia
