Signage Production Specialist

Flower Power is Australia's largest retail Garden Centre & Lifestyle group, boasting 11 retail stores across Sydney and Maitland. We cultivate, source, and sell an extensive selection of plants, landscape materials, outdoor furniture, homewares, and gifts.

About the role
The Signage Production Specialist is responsible for working with the Signage Manager to design and produce all signs for Flower Power stores (and other projects from time to time) as directed by the Signage Manager and Marketing Manager. You will be located at the Erskine Park head office Sign Shop.

Working as part of our production team, you will be responsible for preparing, producing and finishing a wide range of signage and graphics.

Your duties will include:

• Production of signage materials and other point-of-sale for our stores.

• Printing, cutting, laminating and packing store signage and applying vinyl graphics when needed.

• Operating large-format printers, laminators, vinyl cutters including:

  • Mimaki JFX-500 flatbed printer

  • Zund G3 cutter

  • Laminating machine

  • Roland XC-540 Soljet roll-to-roll printer.

• Checking colour, measurements, materials and finished quality.

• Managing workflow to meet production deadlines and discuss work scheduling.

• Maintaining equipment and keeping the production area clean and organised.

• Working closely with signage managers and other production staff.

• Application of signage for Flower Power vehicles, trucks & garden Care trailers as required.

• Actively manage deadlines for delivery of signage to stores in collaboration with the Signage Manager.

• Identify areas for continued growth and improvement of our signage production and processes.
  

 About You:

• Previous experience in signage, large-format printing or a related production environment.

• Experience operating wide-format printers, laminators and cutting equipment.

• A good understanding of signage materials, substrates and production processes

• High attention to detail and a strong commitment to quality

• The ability to read job sheets, measurements and production specifications

• Good time-management skills and the ability to work to deadlines

• A practical, reliable and team-focused approach

• The ability to work independently when required

• Good communication skills
