Sign Shop Manager

We are seeking an experienced Sign Shop Manager to oversee the day-to-day production of signage, point-of-sale materials and other visual communication projects.

This is a hands-on role suited to an experienced sign production professional who can manage the complete production process while coordinating workflow, materials, equipment and staff.

About the Role

Reporting to the Head of Marketing, you will be responsible for the production and application of a wide range of signage and promotional materials. You will work closely with the marketing team to ensure projects are delivered on time, to specification and to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day operations and workflow of the sign shop.

• Artwork, production and application of signage and point-of-sale materials.

• Produce signage for stores, vehicles, trucks, trailers and other company projects.

• Use Adobe Photoshop and other relevant graphic design software.

• Coordinate daily production requirements with Marketing and Administration teams.

• Supervise staff assisting within the sign shop as required.

• Manage signage stock, warehousing and inventory.

• Order and maintain supplies including corflute, vinyl, banner materials and inks.

• Ensure signage is produced accurately and to required quality standards.

• Assist with installation and application of signage where required.

• Maintain a safe, organised and efficient production environment.

• Identify and resolve basic production and equipment issues.

• Undertake other projects and duties as directed by the Head of Marketing.

Equipment & Technical Skills

Experience in sign production, digital printing, graphic production or a similar environment is highly desirable.

Familiarity with the following equipment would be advantageous:

• Mimaki JFX-500 Flatbed Printer

• Zünd G3 Cutter

• Roland XC-540 SolJet Roll-to-Roll Printer

Experience with large-format digital printing, vinyl application, vehicle signage, banners and corflute is highly regarded.

You will be a practical, hands-on professional with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines. You will have excellent organisational and communication skills, take pride in the quality of your work and be comfortable working both independently and as part of a team.
