The Role

CREST Education is seeking a motivated and reliable Primary Music Teacher to join our Hillcrest Primary teaching team. This role is ideal for someone who has a love of teaching and passion for education. 

Inviting applicants who are Kodaly trained and interested in a part-time (3 days per week), Primary Music specialist position to commence on 5 October 2026 until 25 July 2027. The position involves classroom Music teaching in a variety of year levels with a strong focus on the Kodaly method of teaching.

Key Responsibilities:

• Desire to teach in an environment where both Christian values and academic excellence are emphasised

• Excellent manner with the ability to relate well to students of different ages and abilities
• Demonstrate a pastoral responsibility and understanding of students including diverse academic, linguistic cultural and social backgrounds
• Support College priorities in terms of curriculum and professional development

The successful candidate will have:

• Experience in the Kodaly method of music teaching in the primary years
• Desire to teach in an environment where both Christian values and academic excellence are emphasised
• Passionate about teaching the next generation 
• Relevant qualifications with VIT registration and commitment to professional learning
