Head Practice Nurse / Nurse Manager - Experienced Registered Nurse

We’re looking for an experienced, energetic Head Practice Nurse / Nurse Manager to join our team in a part-time leadership role.

This is more than just a nursing position. You’ll be the clinical lead, team champion and organisational glue that keeps our nursing services running safely, and smoothly.

What you’ll be responsible for

Clinical Leadership
Be our lead and support for the nursing team, providing day-to-day clinical guidance, supervision and mentoring.

Immunisations & Cold Chain
Be our go-to person for immunisation programs, vaccine management and cold-chain compliance — keeping standards high and patients safe.

Accreditation & Quality Improvement
Assist in accreditation and turn quality improvement into everyday practice. We’re looking for someone who enjoys making things better, not just ticking boxes.

Policies & Procedures
Champion best-practice policies and procedures, ensuring the team understands them, follows them.

Rosters & Operations
Keep the nursing team organised with effective rosters, smooth day-to-day operations and the right people in the right place.

Team Leadership
Be a visible, approachable leader who supports your colleagues, builds confidence and creates a positive nursing culture.

Patient-Focused Care
Above all, champion safe, compassionate, high-quality care and help our team deliver an exceptional patient experience every day.

What you will need to bring

·         Experience as a Practice Nurse who is ready to step into or continue growing in a leadership role.

·         Current registration as a registered nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia

·         Experience and a genuine interest in primary care

·         Strong clinical knowledge and confidence in primary care

·         Excellent communication and people-leadership skills

·         Experience with immunisations and cold-chain management

·         A solid understanding of accreditation and quality improvement

·         A passion for policies, procedures and best-practice nursing

·         A genuine commitment to patient-centred care

·         Experience with medical software Best Practice and AutoMed

·         Demonstrated skills in ECG, preventative health education, chronic disease management/health assessments, immunisations, procedure assistance.
