About the Role: Rare permanent, part time (3 days per week), opportunity for a Board Administrator based in Blackburn, Melbourne reporting to the Secretary to the Property Trusts.
The purpose of this role is to administratively support the robust governance framework of The Salvation Army in Australia (TSA), assisting the Secretary to the Property Trusts in supporting the Board/s of Salvation Army Housing (SAH) and Salvation Army Housing (Victoria) (SAHV) to meet its governance obligations. The role will suit a person with excellent written and verbal communications skills, who operates with a high level of accuracy, confidentiality, professionalism, and stakeholder engagement.
Your balanced set of skills include exceptional organisational and time management skills, with a demonstrated ability to plan, multitask and manage competing priorities. Key Responsibilities: Ensure the smooth running of SAH and SAHV Board and Committee activities and forward planning to support meetings (i.e. scheduling, timely distribution of agenda and associated papers, catering etc) Attend Board and Committee meetings to take minutes and manage administrative tasks relating to the meetings Maintain Board and Committee member personnel files and assist with processing and recording of integrity checks Monitor developments in relation to SAH and SAHV corporate social responsibility, and support compliance with all statutory filing and regulatory reporting Assist with the review process for governance related policies Qualifications & Experience Tertiary qualifications in Law, Governance etc or relevant experience; a post-secondary degree or diploma in Risk Management would be well regarded Proven performance in policy development, risk and compliance review and analysis and implementation of governance frameworks Excellent interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain positive stakeholder relationships at the executive level Strong technical capability with advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint) and cloud-based services (OneDrive, Teams and SharePoint) Excellent time management skills and ability to work on numerous tasks with multiple stakeholders simultaneously Desirable Skills: Experience using a Board Software Platform is desirable (i.e. BoardPro) Knowledge of risk management practices and standards such as ISO 31000:2009 and other Australian Standards relevant to Risk Management Knowledge of the ACNC Governance Standards and Corporations Act 2001 (Cth) Why Work
