RequirementsTHE OPPORTUNITY:
We are seeking a diligent and pragmatic Accounts Payable Officer (APO) to join our Finance Team until December 2027. Based in our Perth office and reporting to the Manager Finance, the APO will be responsible for ensuring authorised supplier payments are processed accurately and on time for our Mining Australia Operations.
The APO will be responsible for:
Executing payments for suppliers in accordance with our purchasing guidelines and procedures.
Raising and processing purchase orders and inputting invoices for payment through the accounting system.
Processing electronic transfer payments and distributing remittance advices.
Maintaining the integrity of the accounts payable systems and payment data by verifying all invoices for accuracy and GST compliance.
Preparing mid-month and end of month creditor payment runs.
Reconciling monthly creditor statements and business bank statements.
Addressing and responding to creditor enquires and investigating with internal and external stakeholders, unpaid invoices as required.
Processing reimbursements and claims.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCES:
5+ years proven experience in accounts payable and accounts system management.
Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
Proven ability to meet deadlines.
Excellent communication, problem solving and analytical skills.
Ability to work autonomously within a broader Finance Team.
Previous experience in Mining or Heavy industry and Business Certificate qualification desirable.
Working rights in Australia required.
