Medical Receptionist

A privately owned medical practice opposite Belmont Forum is seeking an experienced medical receptionist to join our friendly team.   

Required Hours:

• Tuesday 1:30pm - 6:30pm

• Wednesday 9:00am - 5:30pm

• Thursday 9:00am - 5:30pm

• 3 x Saturdays /month (8:00am - 2:00pm)

• Plus casual relief of sick and holiday leave

Essential Criteria

• Previous medical reception experience ESSENTIAL, preferably in a GP medical centre. 

• The candidate must be reliable, punctual and possess a good work ethic, with the ability to multi task and work independently.

• Excellent communication skills along with a courteous phone manner.

• The ability to maintain a high level of professionalism and confidentiality.

Desired Criteria

• Experience with Best Practice and Tyro is an advantage but not essential.

• An understanding of Medicare Benefit Schedule, medical terminology and experience in general practice accreditation and standards.
