Head of Physiotherapy

This role doesn’t really exist in private practice.

In most private practice settings, a Senior Physiotherapist treats — full stop. They carry a caseload, they do great clinical work, and that’s where the story ends. Maybe some mentoring, but rarely formalised or remunerated in a meaningful way.

This is different.

We’re looking for someone to lead Physiotherapy across Move Beyond — a fast-growing, multi-state allied health network of 150+ people across VIC, NSW and SA. Someone who wants to shape how physio is practiced, taught, and experienced at scale. Someone who sees clinical leadership not as a departure from great care — but as the highest expression of it.

About the Role

As Head of Physiotherapy, you’ll hold clinical stewardship of physiotherapy across the Move Beyond network. This means:

• Owning the clinical standards, education, and mentoring of physiotherapy practitioners across all sites

• Carrying a meaningful caseload — this is a treating role, not a desk role

• Being the go-to clinical voice for physio across a multidisciplinary team

• Shaping how we grow this service area — new locations, new practitioners, new capability

• Working alongside our Head of Education and leadership team on cross-disciplinary learning & shared care across modalities for our clients

You’ll be based primarily at one of our clinics (we’ll find the right fit), with flexibility across the network. We are open to candidates located in SA, NSW or VIC.

At Move Beyond, you’ll sit inside a multidisciplinary team that genuinely collaborates. You’ll have people to call on, cases to talk through, and a national network supporting you as a leader & as a clinician.

What We’re Looking For

• A Senior Physiotherapist with genuine depth of experience in Musculoskeletal or Sports & Exercise Physiotherapy.

• Someone who has mentored, educated, or supervised other practitioners — formally or informally

• Additional qualifications including titling and/or education are a bonus, not a barrier

• A person who leads by example, communicates directly, and brings others along without making it complicated

• Someone who is genuinely excited about what’s possible here — not just looking for a title change

What You’ll Get

• A base salary of $115–130k, plus fortnightly performance incentives that can take total earnings to $225k FTE
