Remote Telehealth Medicinal Cannabis Doctor

We are currently looking for experienced Authorised Prescribers with a background in medicinal cannabis. This is a remote contract position offering flexible scheduling across extended hours, including evenings and weekends.

Position overview

This role suits a Doctor passionate about providing safe, considered access to medicinal cannabis via telehealth. You will consult with patients remotely, assess clinical suitability, and manage treatment on an ongoing basis using a purpose-built virtual care platform.

The position offers autonomy, flexibility, and the opportunity to be part of a progressive telehealth service operating nationally.

Key responsibilities

• Delivering telehealth consultations in line with clinical and regulatory standards

• Assessing patient eligibility and determining appropriate treatment pathways

• Prescribing and reviewing medicinal cannabis therapies where clinically indicated

• Providing follow-up care, treatment adjustments, and patient education

• Working alongside clinical and operational teams to ensure continuity of care

• Keeping accurate, compliant medical records at all times

• Remaining informed on evolving guidelines, legislation, and clinical evidence

Essential requirements

• Unrestricted GP registration with AHPRA

• Existing Authorised Prescriber approval for medicinal cannabis

• Demonstrated experience in telehealth-based clinical practice

• High level of clinical judgement and professional independence

• Comfortable working within a digitally enabled healthcare model
