Duty Manager

Box Hill RSL is not your standard club. We operate a large-scale, multi-faceted venue including a busy Bistro, multiple bars, a Rooftop offering, 100+ EGM Gaming Room, premium Lancaster Lounge and a strong functions business. We take pride in doing things properly and continue to push standards across every part of the operation.

About the Role

This is a hands-on leadership role at the center of the operation. You will be responsible for driving standards, leading from the floor and ensuring the venue operates at a consistently high level across all areas. This role is casual but will have consistent and strong hours for the right candidate and can not just be limited to duty management for the right skill set

From venue opens and gaming clearances through to late trade, lock-up and reporting, you will take ownership of the shift, support your team and set the tone for how we operate.

• You’ve worked in strong venues and know what good looks like

• You lead from the front and hold both yourself and others accountable

• You’re confident across gaming, bars and food & beverage

• You take pride in standards, presentation and the way a venue runs

• You understand the importance of professional behaviour and setting the right example on shift

• You stay calm under pressure and make good decisions on the go

• You’re reliable, organised and don’t cut corners

Requirements

• RSA, RSG and Victorian Gaming Employee Licence (essential)

• First Aid and Police Check (preferred)

• Availability across a 7-day rotating roster including nights and weekends

• Experience in clubs, hotels or high-volume hospitality venues

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee operations across bars, bistro, gaming and front of house

• Lead and support teams to deliver consistent, high-quality service

• Maintain presentation and operational standards across the venue

• Ensure compliance with liquor and gaming regulations

• Manage guest enquiries and resolve issues professionally

• Complete cash handling, reconciliations and end-of-shift reporting
