Our clients include some of the industry’s leading freight forwarding organizations. In this dynamic, fast-paced environment, no two days are ever the same—a standard that extends across all operational functions, particularly billing.
We are seeking a detail-oriented Billing Specialist to join our team on-site in Botany on a full-time basis. In this role, you will be responsible for driving accurate and timely end-to-end billing activities to support BFS’s transport and logistics operations. Prior experience or foundational knowledge within the freight forwarding and transport sector is strongly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

* Invoice Generation: Prepare and issue accurate invoices for import and export container cartage, as well as associated logistics services.
* Charge Verification: Cross-reference and validate operational charges against customer contracts, rate cards, and job records.
* Discrepancy Resolution: Reconcile billing variances promptly and manage billing inquiries from clients with clear, professional communication.
* Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with internal Operations and Accounting teams to streamline billing workflows and resolve queries.
* Documentation & Compliance: Maintain comprehensive billing records, assist with regular financial reporting, and ensure full compliance with internal controls and relevant industry regulation.
* Process Improvement: Actively contribute to optimizing billing procedures to enhance efficiency and reduce error rates.

Key Requirements

* Proven experience in a billing, accounts receivable, or logistics administration role (experience within Freight Forwarding / Transport Logistics)
* Strong understanding of import/export cartage and accessorial charges.
* Exceptional numerical accuracy, attention to detail, and analytical reconciliation skills.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills for effective stakeholder management.
* Ability to prioritize tasks and adapt within a fast-moving, high-volume environment.
* knowledge of XERO preferred.
* understanding of cargowise highly advantageous.
