Junior Estimator

ATG Group is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Estimator to join our NSW team. Working alongside experienced Estimators, Project Managers and Construction Professionals, you'll play a key role in preparing competitive tenders and supporting our pre-construction process across a diverse range of commercial projects.

Reporting to the NSW Pre-Construction Manager, you will support the preparation of fit-out and refurbishment tenders from initial enquiry through to submission.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Assisting with the preparation of cost estimates and tender submissions.

• Reviewing drawings, specifications and project documentation.

• Performing quantity take-offs and cost analysis.

• Obtaining and evaluating subcontractor and supplier quotations.

• Assisting in the development of tender programmes and methodologies.

• Maintaining tender registers and estimating databases.

• Liaising with clients, consultants, subcontractors and suppliers.

• Supporting handover of successful tenders to project delivery teams.

• Assisting with value engineering and cost planning exercises.

• Contributing to continuous improvement of estimating systems and processes.

To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:

• 1–3 years' experience in an estimating, cadet, contract administration or project coordination role within the construction industry.

• Exposure to commercial fit-out, refurbishment or construction projects (desirable).

• A qualification or current studies in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Building, Engineering or a related discipline.

• Strong numerical and analytical skills.

• High attention to detail and strong organisational skills.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.

• A proactive attitude and willingness to learn.
