THE ROLE

As the first point of contact for our School community, the Receptionist plays a pivotal role in creating a welcoming, professional and supportive environment for students, families, staff and visitors.  Reporting to the Deputy Principal, this highly visible permanent full-time position is responsible for managing the School's reception and telephone services while providing a broad range of administrative support. No two days are the same, making this an exciting opportunity for a proactive and organised professional who enjoys building relationships and contributing to the smooth operation of a busy school environment.

You are a professional, approachable and service-oriented administrator who takes pride in creating positive first impressions and delivering outstanding support. Calm under pressure and highly organised, you enjoy building relationships with a diverse range of people and are committed to providing a warm and welcoming experience for every visitor, student, parent and staff member.

You’ll bring:

• Demonstrated experience in a reception, customer service or administrative role where you have confidently engaged with a broad range of stakeholders.
• Strong proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and confidence using standard office equipment and systems.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and respond professionally to a variety of enquiries.
• The ability to work collaboratively within a team while also managing responsibilities independently.
• A high level of discretion and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
• Experience with TASS will be highly regarded, although not essential.

To be successful in this role, you will be organised, proactive and solution-focused, with the ability to manage competing priorities and maintain a calm, professional presence in a busy school environment. Of critical importance is your ability to build trust, communicate with empathy and professionalism, and create a positive experience for everyone who interacts with the School.
