INTERMEDIATE ACCOUNTANT – MACKAY/ REGIONAL QLD – TAX & BUSINESS ADVISORY FIRM - TRAINING & CAREER GROWTH (JOB ID 1524)

Our client is a well-established regional accounting and advisory firm supporting a diverse portfolio of SME clients across tax, compliance and business advisory. This is an excellent opportunity for an Intermediate Accountant looking to step up in responsibility, gain exposure to advisory work and progress their career in a structured and supportive team. 

The Role: 

• Prepare BAS, IAS, superannuation and income tax returns across various entity types  

• Assist with financial reporting and preparation of financial statements  

• Support tax research and preparation of tax advice for clients  

• Contribute to business advisory work including client meetings and queries  

• Liaise with the ATO, financial institutions and other stakeholders  

• Work closely with senior accountants and managers on client engagements  

• Build strong client relationships while developing technical capability  

About You: 

• Experience in Australian public practice accounting  

• Working towards or completed CA/CPA qualification  

• Strong knowledge of accounting software (Xero, MYOB or similar)  

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills  

• Strong attention to detail and time management skills  

• Professional, proactive and team-oriented approach
