INTERMEDIATE ACCOUNTANT – TOWNSVILLE – MULTI-DISCIPLINARY FIRM – $70K–$90K + SUPER (JOB ID 851)

Our client is a long-standing, multi-disciplinary advisory firm with a strong presence across North Queensland. With a team of 70+ professionals and offices across the region, the firm offers a full-service solution including accounting, tax, SMSF, financial advice, and business advisory.

The Role: 

• Work with a diverse portfolio of clients across accounting and tax matters 

• Prepare financial statements and income tax returns for various entities 

• Assist with BAS/IAS preparation and lodgements 

• Support senior team members with tax planning and advisory work 

• Liaise with clients and build strong working relationships 

• Complete reconciliations, journals, and general compliance tasks 

• Manage your workflow to meet deadlines and lodgement requirements 

• Maintain accurate client records and documentation 

• Support junior staff and contribute to a team environment 

About You: 

• 2–5 years’ experience in public practice accounting 

• Degree qualified (or near completion) 

• Working towards CA or CPA (highly regarded) 

• Strong technical foundation across tax and compliance 

• Experience with Xero, XPM, ATO Portal and Microsoft Office 

• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills 

• Good communication skills and confidence working with clients 

• Proactive, team-focused and eager to learn
