INTERMEDIATE ACCOUNTANT – GOLD COAST – GROWING PUBLIC PRACTICE FIRM - $75K-90K+SUPER (JOB ID 1577)

The Role: 

• Prepare financial statements for companies, trusts, partnerships, sole traders and individuals 

• Prepare and lodge income tax returns, BAS, IAS and FBT returns 

• Manage client tax obligations including Division 7A, CGT and FBT calculations 

• Liaise with the ATO and regulatory bodies on behalf of clients 

• Manage workflow and ensure compliance deadlines are consistently achieved 

• Review and reconcile asset registers and depreciation schedules 

• Assist with tax planning and advisory engagements 

• Support and review junior team members’ work 

• Build and maintain strong client relationships 

About You: 

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Commerce or related discipline 

• 2–4 years’ experience within Australian public practice accounting 

• CA or CPA qualified, or actively progressing toward completion 

• Strong knowledge of Australian taxation legislation and compliance 

• Proficiency in Xero (MYOB or QuickBooks advantageous) 

• Strong technical, organisational and time management skills 

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills 

• Proactive, career-driven and team-focused mindset
