Position: Assistant Accountant Intern - Internship

Our client is a prestigious luxury travel company based in Parramatta, NSW, Australia. Known for delivering exceptional travel experiences, they are seeking a motivated and ambitious Assistant Accountant Intern to join their team for a 3-month internship. This is a unique opportunity to gain practical experience in accounting within the exciting travel industry.

DESCRIPTION:

We are looking for a dedicated and driven Assistant Accountant Intern to support our client's accounting and finance team. This internship provides hands-on experience and an excellent opportunity to develop valuable skills for a career in both the accounting and travel sectors.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assist with day-to-day accounting tasks such as data entry, reconciliations, and preparing financial reports
• Support the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures
• Participate in budgeting and forecasting activities
• Conduct research and analysis to support financial decision-making
• Maintain accurate and organised financial records
• Collaborate with other team members to ensure timely and accurate completion of tasks
• Assist with ad-hoc projects and tasks as assigned by the Accounting Manager
• Exposure into company softwares MYOB, Employment Hero, and others

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

• Currently pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong time-management and organizational skills
• Positive attitude and eagerness to learn
