Assistant Accountant Intern

Position: Assistant Accountant Intern - Internship - Phillip, ACT Area

DESCRIPTION:

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Assistant Accountant Intern to join our clients team on a contract basis. This internship offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in accounting while working alongside experienced professionals in a dynamic environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Support day-to-day accounting tasks such as data entry, reconciliations, and report generation
• Assist in preparing financial statements and reports
• Help with accounts payable and receivable processes
• Conduct research and analysis to support financial decision-making
• Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to process improvement ideas
• Handle other ad-hoc tasks assigned by the Senior Accountant

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

• Currently pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent time management and organisational skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Prior experience in an accounting or finance knowledge is a plus
