Zoie has a busy breakfast and lunch trade, and we see the next phase of our growth is to move into serving dinner and holding events and functions. This job would suit someone with a passion for cooking and the ability to follow current recipe and presentation guidelines. In addition, a person who has the creativity and flair to introduce new menu items for our extended service would be highly regarded.

Core responsibilities include:

1. Knowledgeable about culinary and cafe trends.

2. Ability to work efficiently and effectively with minimal to no supervision in back of house operations.

3. Ability to estimate food requirements towards daily food service operation.

4. Maintaining and ensuring kitchen hygiene and cleanliness are to its highest standards.

*Ensuring implementation of Temperature Monitoring / Delivery Temperature Monitoring

*Ensuring and maintaining equipment that complies with food safety protocols.

5. Maintaining food inventory, supplies and controlling to minimizing wastages

6. Ensuring consistent food quality from preparation, handling, presentation and service.

7. Ability to demonstrate versatility in maintaining consistency in product and performance across varying conditions.

8. Flexibility to adapt menu items to suit special dietary requirements

9. Cleaning and maintaining kitchen equipment to a high standard

10. Maintaining efficient and friendly service standards

The successful candidate will have at least 2 years of local experience and be part of the Back of House team, directly reporting to the Chef-in charge. However, they will also be a strong team-player and look out for ways to help the Front of House team if needed - e.g. Running food/drink orders, clearing tables, washing dishes.

The position requires some weekend and evening availability.

Pay: $34.96 – $69.93 per hour
