The Role: Legal Assistant – Wills & Estates
As a Legal Assistant, you'll provide vital support to Director Jacqui Lee Long and our Wills & Estates team. Your primary responsibilities will include:
Opening, maintaining and closing both physical and electronic files, ensuring effective document management and organisation.
Managing inbound phone calls, coordinating appointments and liaising with clients, stakeholders and external third parties.
Provide high quality administrative assistance to the team through efficient dictation, professional drafting of correspondence, photocopying, scanning and management of briefs.
Assist with billing operations with drafting and issuing invoices promptly.
Manage sensitive safe custody duties with precision and executing firm protocols for safe custody release.
Managing multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Who we are looking for:
We are seeking someone with a proactive mindset and a strong ability to work collaboratively. You should have:
Legal Administrative Experience: You should have prior experience in a legal administrative role, with experience in Wills & Estates being a plus.
Exceptional Communication Skills: You must have outstanding written and verbal communication skills to interact with clients, team members, and external parties clearly and professionally.
Strong Organisational Skills: You'll need the ability to manage a demanding workload, prioritise tasks effectively, and maintain a high level of accuracy.
A Collaborative Attitude: The desire to work closely with a team, share knowledge, and contribute to a positive and productive work environment.
Witnessing Qualifications and Driver’s Licence: Preference that you are a Justice of the Peace or a Commissioner for Declarations. If not, have the desire to complete further training to assist with witnessing and certifying documents. A current valid driver’s licence is advantageous.
