This is an excellent opportunity for a Senior Accountant to join their Coolangatta office, managing a diverse portfolio of SME and individual clients while providing strategic support, mentoring junior team members, and contributing to a collaborative and high-performing team culture. 

The Role: 

• Manage end-to-end accounting and compliance for a portfolio of SME and individual clients 

• Prepare financial statements, income tax returns, BAS, FBT, payroll tax and related compliance obligations 

• Conduct tax planning and provide advice on business structures 

• Build and maintain strong client relationships with a proactive, value-add approach 

• Monitor workflow, manage WIP and contribute to personal and team KPI outcomes 

• Identify process improvements and workflow efficiencies 

• Mentor junior staff and support team capability development 

• Maintain strong technical knowledge across Div 7A, FBT, GST and broader tax legislation 

• Work with modern systems including Xero Practice Manager, FYI Docs, and Dashboard Insights 

About You: 

• CA or CPA qualified 

• 5+ years’ experience in Australian public practice accounting 

• Strong technical tax, compliance and advisory capability 

• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills 

• Experience with cloud-based accounting platforms and modern practice systems 

• Commercially minded with strong workflow and client management capability 

• Positive, proactive and team-focused attitude
